We were so thankful to work with such a great group this past summer. The Kelly family stayed in the Rodanthe area of the Outer Banks. We were scheduled to shoot their portraits on a beautiful evening in July the week after the big fireworks. We love the lighting that occurs right before sunset-it’s so beautiful!

We try to schedule our sessions 1.5 hours to 2 hours before sunset to capture the best lighting. The evening is a wonderful time because most people are off of the beach and the beach cools down after a long hot day. We were able to take some many wonderful portraits that night.
