Duck Family Portraits The Moore Family

We worked with the Moore family in Duck, NC. We were close to the research pier and were able to take advantage of it. We had some wild weather that week that lead to big surf, a lot of wind, and some tide pools on the beach. We made the best of our time with everything we had and the photos came out great! I love how fun this family was to work with. I am so glad that I could capture these moments for them!

Nags Head Family Portraits – Quirin Family

We photographed this session in Nags Head, NC on the Outer Banks. The clients house was located on the beach. Their beach access cut through the dunes so we shot their family portraits with the dunes in the background (on their beach access).  We then moved the family up by the ocean once the sun got a little softer. This family was so fun! I wish I could show every image. At the end they got silly and I loved it! Your family portrait session can and should be fun!

Nags Head Family Photography- The Owens

We photographed this lovely couples wedding back in 2011 at the Hilton Garden Inn Pier House. We were so glad when we got the call that they would be in town and wanted family photos. They told me of their beautiful addition! We met up in South Nags Head on the beach.  It was a very windy day but we made it work! We had a great session! I can’t wait until next time!

Pine Island Family Portraits Beach Photography

We had a wonderful evening with this family on Pine Island in Corolla, NC. The weather was perfect! We had a lot of grand babies in this session. It was wonderful to see them all together.  The family was so fun to work with.

Rainy Duck Family Beach Portraits

We had a wonderful family visiting the Duck,NC area on the Outer Banks in August of 2014. Unfortunately, the rain threw a wrench in our plans to do beach portraits. We did get the opportunity to run out to the beach during a break in the rain and get the group photo, grand parent and grand kids and then the matriarch and patriarch photo. Unfortunately, the rain kicked in and we had to run off the beach. We did try to wait it out but the rain just kept building in and didn’t stop till the sun was down.

It would be great if we could stay out when it rained. The only problem is that the equipment gets wet (and ruined) and it often gets dark from cloud cover when it is raining. The water spots show up on everyone’s clothes and hair gets unmanageable and can look greasy or wet in the photos. The family’s house was not waterfront and it was quite small inside so we took the photos on the deck of the club house that was by the beach access. It was very important to get family photos and we had fun doing it. The rain couldn’t keep this family or photographer down!
